  A portrait gallery of the
seldom seen details of New Mexico
Photos by Marcia Keegan, with introduction by
Howard Bryan.
Here are the pueblos, the
Spanish missions, the dances, prayers, and festivals, the painters and writers
and potters at work. Here are the towering rock formations, the gorges of the
Rio Grande, the fields of flowers and the bone white gypsum sands. Rain showers
storm across the plains, to be followed by rainbows in the hills. The desert
moon looks down on the chapels that have remained unchanged for centuries.
Santa Fe photographer Marcia Keegan is unsurpassed at capturing on film the
special imagery of New Mexico. She is the only photographer to have taken
pictures in all nineteen New Mexico Pueblos. Her photographs are in the
permanent collections of the Library of Congress, the White House, and the
Metroploitan Museum of Art.
The popular historian and veteran journalist, Howard Bryan, has received the
Governor's Award for Excellence in Literature and received numerous press awards
during his 42 year career as a journalist at The Albuquerque Tribune
