Joshua Peine, the founder of Clear Light Cedar Co. in Placitas, New Mexico, learned about the herbal and medicinal qualities of natural green cedar from the Navajo and Hopi Indians. He decided to build a business around it by incorporating it into innovative bath and beauty products.

Clear Light Cedar's unique method of collecting and curing green cedar needles enhances and preserves their invigorating aroma. Joshua watches over each harvest of needles from his beloved New Mexico cedar trees, making sure it is done to his own exacting standards. The needles are picked at exactly the right moment, leaving the trees healthy and happy. Then they cured just long enough to preserve their clean, everlasting fragrance, before they are incorporated into Joshua's products.
