Made from the fruit of the succulent prickly pear cactus plant that grows predominantly on the sun-drenched southwestern deserts of the United States and Mexico. The fruit is hand-harvested and picked at the peak of ripeness to obtain the greatest amount of flavor, color and nutrient value.
When ripe, the prickly pear fruit becomes a brilliant magenta color, is juicy and sweet, and is enjoyed by the both the human and animal inhabitants of the desert Southwest.
