In the shadows of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Santa Fe, NM, sits a century-old adobe ranch house where artisans handcraft art knives of rare beauty. Each of these collectible knives represents a unique example of the cutler’s art: the quintessential marriage of fine steels with gemstones and intricate wood marquetry.
We feature the following fine corkscrews from these master craftsmen:
- Turquoise & Mother of Pearl: Handle is inlaid on one side with blue-green turquoise and gold and white mother of pearl strips. The opposite side of the handle is a dark hardwood.
- Vein Turquoise: Vein turquoise is formed by deposits in open cracks and voids which are caused by small faults or other movement of the rock, creating unique patterns and textures. The opposite side of the handle is a dark hardwood.
