Join the generations of New Mexicans who indulge in this high-protein nuts each autumn
A winter staple of Southwestern Native American Indian cultures until the 20th Century, piñon (pinyon) has also been a favorite snack of New Mexicans for centuries. Every autumn, New Mexican families still flock to the mountains to pick the nuts from the cones of the piñon pine tree. Then they are roasted to make a high-protein, stand-alone snack that's munched through the winter months.
Some say piñon has a flavor that's part pine nut, part peanut...taste them for yourself with our inexpensive "sampler" package.
