frames
New Mexico has been known for its quality punched
tin art work for over a century. There are now over two dozen punched tin
artists in northern and central New Mexico alone. The art form is believed
to have been brought up from old Mexico in the early 1800's, and over the
years, New Mexican artists have developed their own styles. These picture
frames are handmade in the Sandia Mountains of central New Mexico by artisans
working in the style of those early tin workers
